Product Overview
AluSpray Aerosol Bandage, made by Neogen, is used as a protective barrier that keeps irritating external agents away from wounds, promoting healing and preventing infection.

For use in cattle, sheep, horses, cats, and dogs.

My vet used this spray for my horse after she got a deep cut on her hock in the joint. Where the injury is located you can't bandage. The aluminum spray keeps flys and bacteria out of her wound and her would is healing up nicely. When I ran out of the spray the vet gave me, I tried to find this product locally. The local farm store only had one can, and they haven't reordered. Also, the price at the farm store and the vet's office is $5 more than on Allivet. This was more economical for me to buy a few cans to keep on hand to spray on my horse's injured hock as it heals. Aluspray is great when your horse has a cut (even a deep cut), keeps the flys and dirt out, and although it runs out quick if you have a large injury, it does the job when you can't just bandage a wound. Also, I tried the 'generic' version of this spray and found it didn't cover the wound or stay on as well, and didn't spray very well at all, so I am sticking to the name brand from now on.
