Baytril (Enrofloxacin) 100 Injectable is a ready-to-use, antimicrobial, sterile solution with enrofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antimicrobial ingredient of the fluoroquinolone class. Treatment may be prescribed for one or many days.
For use in livestock.
Baytril is easily-administered and fast-acting. Using enrofloxacin, this injectable medication is an antibiotic that treats infections associated with various types of susceptible bacteria.
Baytril contains enrofloxacin, which is a synthetic chemotherapy agent derived from quinolone carboxylic acid. It provides antibacterial action against a number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Injection site inflammation and swelling have been noted in post-marketing studies.

- Quinolones have caused cartilage erosions and other arthropathy in the weight-bearing joints of many species of immature animals.
- Use with caution in animals with suspected or diagnosed CNS (central nervous system) disorders. In these animals, quinolones have sometimes caused stimulation of the central nervous system, leading to convulsive seizures.
- Do not allow eye contact. If contact occurs, the eyes should be flushed with plenty of water for a minimum of 15 minutes.
- If skin contact occurs, wash skin thoroughly with soap and water.
- If ocular or dermal exposure lead to persistent irritation, speak with your veterinarian.
- Do not administer to animals with quinolone hypersensitivity.
- Following excessive quinolone exposure in humans, a risk of photosensitization exists. Avoid direct sunlight if accidental overexposure occurs.
- Keep away from children.
- Retinal toxicity can occur when used in cats.
- Only for animal use.
