Product Overview

Budesonide is a steroid medication in the glucocorticoid class, commonly prescribed by veterinarians to help manage inflammatory conditions in cats, dogs, and other animals. It works by reducing inflammation within the body. Use only under proper veterinary guidance.

Appearance: Lime green, circular, bisected tablet, containing green speckling.

Be sure to discuss any side effects your pet experiences while taking budesonide with your veterinarian immediately. Side effects of budesonide include stomach upset, increased thirst, increased urine output, increased appetite, and changes in hair coat. Topical preparations containing budesonide (such as transdermal gels, ointments, creams, etc.) may also cause irritation at the site of application.

If you suspect your pet or another animal was accidentally overdosed or has eaten this medication inadvertently, contact your veterinarian or the A.S.P.C.A.'s Animal Poison Control Center at 888.426.4435. Always bring the prescription container with you when you take your pet for review.
