Cephalexin Oral Suspension treats infections of the:
- Respiratory tract
- Soft tissue
- Skin
- Urinary tract
Cephalexin inhibits bacterial wall nucleopeptide synthesis processes, causing destruction of the bacteria.
Cephalexin is often administered to dogs for many months without any negative side effects. However, potential adverse reactions include:
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Lack of appetite
- High fever
- Excitability
- Rashes
- Rapid breathing
- Drooling

Contact your closest emergency pet hospital.
- Never administer to an animal who has previously had an allergic reaction to antibiotics, cephalosporins, or penicillin.
- Do not use in lactating or pregnant animals.
