Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets are an effective treatment for canine separation anxiety as part of a behavioral management regimen. Clomipramine tablets may help alleviate inappropriate barking and help eliminate urination or defecation, as well as destructive behavior.
Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets are used to treat separation anxiety in dogs in connection with behavior modification and training.
Dogs (older than 6 months of age)
Treats dog separation anxiety. Non Sedating. Reduces symptoms associated with separation anxiety such as excessive barking and destructive behavior. Well tolerated beef flavor tablets.
Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets belong to the dibenzazepine class of tricyclic antidepressants. Clomipramine hydrochloride reduces the clinical signs of separation anxiety by affecting serotonergic and noradrenergic neuronal transmission in the central nervous system.
Clomipramine tablets have been proven to be well tolerated by dogs. The following adverse reactions have been reported: lethargy/depression, elevation in liver enzymes, vomiting, diarrhea, and increased thirst. Since the most common side effect is vomiting, it may help to give your dog Clomipramine Tablets with food.

Keep away from children and animals. There are some medicines that should not be used with Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets. DO NOT use in conjunction with the Preventic collar or Anipryl (selegiline) tablets. Always consult your veterinarian before giving any medicine to your pet. The use of Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets is not authorized in breeding dogs. In dogs with cardiovascular dysfunction, epilepsy, narrow angle glaucoma, reduced gastrointestinal motility or urinary retention, Clomipramine Hydrochloride Tablets should be given with caution and only after an assessment of the benefit risk ratio.
