If you are halving tablets please purchase the 2.5 mg. Our cat was able to have normal levels after making the switch to the 2.5 mg as opposed to halving a 5mg tablet.

I crush these tablets and sprinkle over wet cat food. My picky cat doesn't mind it at all! I tried using generic and the flavor must be different because cat would not touch it... but this one is different and a lifesaver - keeps me from having to pill a cat with 2 tabs twice a day!

These meds seem to be working in that my 14 year old cat is more energetic and no longer uncomfortable. Also he looks forward to his meds. I coat with a tiny bit of fresh ground peanut butter (no sugar or oil or anything added).

These tiny pills are coated, so they go down better than tablets. I give my cat some canned food after the pill, and that helps it travel to the stomach quicker.

When my vet told me I had to start my cat on methimazole, I panic'd as I knew he would not let me get any pills down him. These coated tablets are the best! The are tiny enough to hide in a bit of soft food and because they are coated, he doesn't smell them in there. I don't have to struggle pushing a pill down his throat; he easily swallows them with food. Can't thank you enough for making a great product!

I like ordering my cat's maintenance medication for hyperthyroidism, felimazole, because I can get a 3-month supply and the communication with my veterinarian is handled by Allivet. Shipping is quick, too.

My cat was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. My last refill at the Vet's office was refilled with an uncoated tablet that I needed to split. It would splinter and was horrid to pill her --- it, having been split and splintered, might have made her refuse her medication due to the bad taste. I was forced to mix it with laxatone. Thank God I now have those little pink pills!

My cat's thyroid levels were at 9 although she exhibited no symptoms. Since I started giving her Felimazole, she has been at 2, and that is just after one month. She takes these twice a day and I crush them up with a pestle & mortar, then use 1 cc of water in a syringe-type dropper since she no longer is tricked by Pill Pockets! It does the job. My cat's thyroid numbers are perfect (he has hyperthyroidism, but this manages it). Just remember to wash your hands if you have to handle these pills, as they are powerful hormones.
