Product Overview

Glycopyrrolate Brand (Robinul) diminishes secretions in certain bodily organs. It is used to control such conditions as peptic ulcers, which cause excess production of stomach acid.
Glycopyrrolate is used to reduce secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach before surgery. It is used before and during surgery to block certain reflexes and to protect against certain side effects of some medicines. It is also used along with other medicines to treat peptic ulcers. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your veterinarian.
For use in dogs.
Features of Glycopyrrolate Brand (Robinul):
  • Often administered alongside a variety of anesthetic agents to prevent slowing heart rate
  • Used before surgical anesthesia to reduce secretions of the respiratory tract and drooling
Glycopyrrolate is known as an anticholinergic. It blocks the activity of acetylcholine, a substance in the body that decreases secretions and side effects brought on by medications that can increase acetylcholine action in the body.
Glycopyrrolate could strengthen the actions of sympathomimetics, thiazide diuretics, and nitrofurantoin. Glycopyrrolate and the derivatives thereof could antagonize the performance of metoclopramide.
