Interceptor flavor tabs are used to control and remove whipworm and adult roundworm infections in puppies four weeks and older and 2 pounds or more, dogs, and cats; prevent heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria Immitis; and control adult hookworms. Interceptor treats heartworms in dogs, The palatable once-a-month tablet that prevents heartworm disease, controls adult hookworm, and removes and controls adult roundworm and whipworm infections in dogs, puppies and cats.

Interceptor kills adult hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum), whipworms (Trichuris vulpis), and roundworms (Toxocara canis), and heartworm larvae in the tissue stage, when orally administered following the suggested dosage schedule. The anthelmintic action of milbemycin oxime is thought to be caused by interference with invertebrate neurotransmission.
Potential side effects include:
- Salivation
- Weakness
- Convulsions
- Decreased appetite
- Incoordination
- Lethargy
- Depression
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting

- Keep out of reach of animals and children.
- Interceptor has been proven for safe use in most dogs. Dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to use. Dogs with heartworm should receive treatment prior to starting Interceptor, unless otherwise directed by a veterinarian.
