My older cat is a medium hair cat. He really gets a lot of hairballs, especially in the fall and the spring. My vet recommended this brand. He absolutely loves it! He wants it all the time. I asked my vet if it is okay for him to take a lot of Laxatone. He said that it is safe and since he is older, it helps him to have regular bowel movements as well. My vet said to not give him Laxatone if he gets diarrhea. My cat jumps on the chair and paws my arm when he wants some- and it's ALL the time. So I order three tubes at a time to make sure he NEVER runs out!

My dogs love the flavor of this when I have to give them medication (pills). I just put a dab of this on my finger with the pills and my dogs take the meds with NO problems. /RLS

This product works wonderfully for riding my cat of hairballs in his intestine. Once, I had to take him to the vet because he was losing so much weight and had no energy. It was hairballs. I bought the product (high priced) from the vet and was pleased that he was able to start gaining weight again. When I found this at Allivet at a reduced, I was extremely pleased.

I adopted my adult longhaired cat Howard 4 yrs ago from a friend who passed away. His vet folder showed he had hairballs. I'd always used Laxatone w/ my other cats, & they liked it. He likes it, too, & it's easy to mix in wet food. Works great for hairballs as well as keeping his b.m.s more regular due to age (17 y/o). I upped his doses from 3 to 4 times ea. week.

Purchasing for my rabbit. It's shedding season! Rabbits groom much like cats and can ingest shedding fur, causing GI stasis...very common in rabbits. I used to give one teaspoon of Laxatone 1-2 times per week to my last bunny and he lived for 9.5 years with no digestion issues ever. Love this stuff!
