Product Overview

Neo Poly Dex Ophthalmic Suspension combines three potent ingredients - dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory steroid; along with polymyxin B and neomycin, two effective antibiotics. The most common uses for this ointment are nonulcerative keratitis, several types of corneal conditions, and severe conjunctivitis.
For use in horses, cats, and dogs.
Neo Poly Dex Ophthalmic Ointment is a treatment for many corneal conditions, along with nonulcerative keratitis and severe conjunctivitis.
Neo Poly Dex Ointment contains Polymyxin B and Neomycin, which are antibiotics that work to kill bacteria. It also contains dexamethasone, a corticosteroid that treats inflammation.
Serious adverse reactions are not expected with this medication. However, the following may occur:
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Eyelid swelling
  • Eyelid itching
  • Blurred vision
  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Irritation
  • Stinging
  • Burning
Continue using the medication and speak with your veterinarian about any seemingly bothersome or unusual reactions.
Neomycin, Polymyxin B sulfates, and Dexamethasone
Immediately contact your closest animal hospital.
  • Do not use in pets allergic to any ingredient of this ointment.
  • This product should not be prescribed to cats who may have a herpes virus infection.
  • If your pet's condition does not improve within 48 hours, or if their condition further deteriorates, speak with your veterinarian.
  • Do not touch the bottle's applicator tip to the skin, eye, or other surfaces while applying. This will prevent contamination of the medication.
