Phenylbute Powder is an anti-inflammatory, synthetic powder that aids in the relief of inflammatory conditions associated with the horse's musculoskeletal system. It is helpful in treating arthritis, acute sprains, acute strains, acute joint injuries, tendonitis, overuse of muscles (including tendon damage, tendon strain, and damage to the muscle), and muscular strains and sprains.
Phenylbute Powder is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It also has analgesic (pain relief) and antipyretic (fever-reducing) effects and is indicated for the treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders, including muscular sprain and strain, muscular overuse (including both muscular damage and strain/damage of the tendons attaching muscles to bone), tendonitis, acute joint injury/strain/sprain, and arthritic conditions.
For use in horses.

This product is an NSAID that works to relieve inflammation of the musculoskeletal horses. With a tasty orange citrus flavor, this product contains 1 gram of phenylbutazone. It has an analgesic effect due to its anti-inflammatory qualities.
If you note any indication of the following conditions, withdraw use and seek immediate veterinary attention for treatment:
- Blood dyscrasia
- Jaundice
- Gastrointestinal upset
- Tarry stools
- Black stools
- Granulocyte decrease
- Decrease in total white count
Phenylbutazone
Contact your closest emergency pet hospital.
- Closely monitor or avoid administering to animals taking other anti-inflammatory medications, including corticosteroids or NSAIDs.
- Do not administer to animals with a history of blood dyscrasia, serious cardiac pathology, serious renal pathology, or serious hepatic pathology.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Only for use in horses.

Administer orally (using the 0.6 ounce (18 mL) scoop provided) on a small amount of palatable feed and mix well. Give 1 to 2 level scoops per 500 pounds of body weight, but do not exceed 4 scoops per animal daily. Use the high dose for the first 48 hours, then gradually reduce to a maintenance dose.
Each 10 grams of powder contains 1 gram of phenylbutazone
