To be honest, I don't know how well it works, if at all. Overall, she does seem to have less #2 issues after a few weeks on it. And she does seem healthier and happier. But I'm not entirely sure this has anything to do with her mood or litter box issues. Sometimes it's hard to know if you're getting a good supplement (for your cat, or even yourself), or simply pissing away money. The vet wants her on this long-term, but 3x weekly and not daily. I'll try it for a few months, and then reassess.

i sprinkle it on my cat's food and it does seem to make them eat food better. Deducted 2 stars because i think that it's way too overpriced and don't think i'd stick to buying it too often because of it.

I have one cat with IBD and another with occasional constipation, and they both get this supplement sprinkled onto their food daily. It really does seem to help my IBD cat. That, along with a very expensive prescription diet, has kept his symptoms to a minimum. It is must-have item for my furry kids.

This probiotic is also an appetite stimulant. I sprinkle it on top of Pill Pockets for cats who don't like the Pill Pockets by themselves. It helps me medicate my geriatric cats. It also seems to help one of my cat's digestion. His stool is much less aromatic when he gets a good sprinkle of this product.

This product was recommended for one of my cats that was having digestive problems that included diarrhea. That is not fun with carpeted floors. I mix the powder with a little water and turn it into a gravy and she licks the plate clean. I tried mixing it in wet food and sprinkling it on their food (she has a sister as well) and they would not touch it. If we miss a day or two, her system is thrown off again. I haven't tried any other probiotic products since they are finicky eaters but I do highly recommend the FortiFlora. --Dawn

Can’t say enough good about Allivet or Fortiflora! I have two cats, both have had hyperthyroidism, so tummy upset from medicine is a common problem. Most recently though, my Cat Gracie has been suffering from a severe UTI, and has needed to be on antibiotics for an extended period of time. She has been dealing with bad diarrhea, and while the Dr has prescribed her flagil, I was hesitant about overloading her already frail body with more antibiotics. This worked wonders... had a feral kitten who's tail was cut off. Prior to spay she was fine, but for some reason afterwards, she was leaving small amounts of fecal on the carpet. Vet did a bacteria check and found she was lacking... so I was given this and poured it on her soft food and so far so good. I do not even use it daily. Good job Purina, now please begin to stop using corn, soy and wheat and other unnecessary additives in your pet foods.

This product is GREAT. One of my cats has been on this for years and he has a very sensitive digestive track and this product has done a GREAT job. I mix the packet with warm water and he thinks he is getting a treat.

This will be my second box. I'm going to give it a couple of months, but so far, zero help with my poor cat's chronic diarrhea. Vet can't figure out the problem, cat is on total grain free expensive food and now we are trying this, so far with no results.

I have a cat who has an upset tummy that has her vomiting almost every other day. My vet had recommended this and it worked well and I needed to restock, so here I am.

I sprinkle Fortiflora over my cats dry food or put a small pile on a plate for them to lick. They love the flavor! Sprinkled on their dry food encourages them to eat their Royal Canine Diet food, which is not as palatable (tasty), as non-diet brands. Also, when using Purina FortiFlora, my cats never have vomiting or diarrhea, which can be occasionally problematic in cats. Once in awhile, I will receive a box of Purina Fortiflora which has an empty and sealed sachet, or less than the metered amount in the sachet. This says its a Swiss-made product which Purina distributes. Purina does reimburse the losses and claimed they are investigating these issues.

This does work if you have a feline with diarrhea issues. It can also be used as a flavor enhancer on food to get cats to eat. My two clamor for food and eat much more when I put the probiotic on their food.
