Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment can be used to treat gram-negative and gram-positive cause infections that are anaerobic and aerobic in nature, larger viruses, rickettsiae, and spirochetes.

There is no expectation of side effects of a serious nature. Application may have some stinging. There is the possibility in cats of a potentially fatal reaction due to an allergy. If your cat experiences difficulty breathing, facial swelling, or itching, call your local emergency room or veterinarian immediately.

Resistant organism overgrowth may occur when using antibiotics including oxytetracycline. This includes staphylococci, and Monilia. Take immediate action if you observe new or additional infections during treatment or if fungi or non-sensitive bacteria present during treatment.
