V.E.T. Pharmaceuticals Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets are useful for pets with low levels of K1. K1 levels can be decreased through toxicity, such as accidentally ingesting some types of rodent pesticide, or through drugs that impede metabolism of vitamins.
For use in dogs and cats.
Features of V.E.T. Pharmaceuticals Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets:
- May be administered to pets following accidental ingestion of rodent pesticides
- Counteracts hypoprothrombinemia, which may increase bleeding risk
- 25mg per tablet
The body uses Vitamin K1 to product prothrombin, a blood-clotting protein.
Contact your closest pet hospital or vet.
- When larger doses of Vitamin K1 are administered, your pet may exhibit temporary resistance to prothrombin-depressing anticoagulant medications
- If no response is noted, this could mean that the supplemented condition is not responsive to Vitamin K1.
- Phytonadione will not counteract the anticoagulant activity of heparin.
- Speak with your veterinarian before beginning treatment and follow their directions carefully
