VETMEDIN Solution (pimobendan oral solution) is the only oral solution product approved by the FDA. According to published studies, it helps with the management of the signs of congestive heart failure in dogs due to clinical myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).²,³ Given every 12 hours, the unique dual action of VETMEDIN dilates the blood vessels carrying blood to and from the heart—reducing the preload and afterload on the heart—while simultaneously improving contractility of the heart muscle.1 Pimobendan, VETMEDIN’s active ingredient, reduces stress on the heart while

Side Effects: The most common side effects are poor appetite, lethargy, diarrhea, shortness of breath, weakness, and ataxia (lack of muscle control and coordination). If side effects occur, consult your veterinarian. The safety of VETMEDIN® Solution (pimobendan oral solution) inodilator has not been established in puppies younger than 6 months of age, or in breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs.
