Vetprofen Flavored Tabs (Carprofen) are intended for the alleviation of pain and inflammation symptomatic of osteoarthritis, as well and the management of pain resulting from soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures. Note* sold per tablet.
Vetprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) oral medication that is used to reduce pain and inflammation due to osteoarthritis and used to manage pain following orthopedic or soft tissue surgery in dogs.
For use in dogs six weeks of age and up.
This product is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps to treat pain and inflammation symptomatic of arthritis and other joint related conditions, such as hip dysplasia. This product may also be used to minimize fever, as well as pain and inflammation resulting post surgical procedure. Beef flavored for effortless feeding.
This non-narcotic NSAID works to alleviate pain and inflammation by decreasing the amount of hormones that cause these symptoms.
Most reactions to Carprofen (NSAID) tend to occur as gastrointestinal upsets, such as:
  • vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • constipation
  • inappetence
  • melena
  • hematemesis
  • gastrointestinal ulceration
  • gastrointestinal bleeding
  • pancreatitis

The total daily dose may be administered as 2 mg/lb of body weight once daily or divided and administered as 1 mg/lb (2.2 mg/kg) twice daily.
 
For the control of postoperative pain, administer approximately 2 hours before the procedure. Caplets are scored and dosage should be calculated in half-caplet increments.
