The main cause of urinary incontinence in dogs is infection of the bladder which leads to an increased urge to urinate. Bladder infections in dogs means their bladders are only emptied partially during urination. Consequently, urine is smelly because it is only partially emptied.
Blood may appear in the urine from cancer, calculi or tumors which can cause infection.
Use as directed by your veterinarian. The usual dose of Proin for dogs is 0.4-0.8mg/pound every 12 hours.
