VetOne Vitamin K1 Chewable Tablets are delicious, chewable tablets with a beef flavor. They contain phytonadione, which counters the effects of hypoprothrombinemia caused by coumarin-based compound digestion, common commercial rodenticide ingredients, and other cases of drug-related hypoprothrombinemia caused by Vitamin K metabolism interference (such as salicylates). It is a follow-up treatment after Vitamin K-1 injections or hospitalization have concluded.
VetOne Vitamin K1 (phytonadione 50 mg) are beef flavored chewable tablets for use in dogs (over 22 lbs) to counter hypoprothrombi-nemia induced by digestion of coumarin-based compounds, common ingredients of commercial rodenticides, and other drug-induced hypoprothrombinemia where it is definitely shown that the result is due to interference with Vitamin K metabolism (e.g., salicylates).
For use in dogs (22 pounds or greater).

Administer orally at the rate of 2.5-5 mg/kg of body weight (1 tablet per each 44 pounds of body weight for lower dosage or 1 tablet per each 22 pounds of body weight for higher dosage) daily as conditions require up to 3 weeks. Frequency and amount of oral administration should be guided by regular determination of prothrombin time. The smallest effective dose should be sought to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.
